Outcomes
After completing this module you will be able to:
- Advise clients on claiming Universal Credit so that they know what they need to do and when
- Be confident that you know everything an adviser needs to know about the claimant commitment
- Understand assessment periods, know what information the Government use to assess a claim and know what to do when your clients have changes in circumstances
- Understand issues with assessment periods including particular issues associated with monthly payments – you'll know about the problems it raises and you'll get advice on what can be done about it
